A Flurry of Park Hill Events Before Winter

October 10th, 2009

Satchel’s has had a busy and exciting summer, and we’re headed into fall with a lot of momentum.  In late August, we held our 2nd Annual Bluegrass BBQ.  It was standing room only with Town Mountain and we served at least 100 orders of ribs and chicken.  If you missed out on the Bluegrass, make sure you don’t miss out next summer.

We’ve been adding a lot of new events to the calendar, and they are proving popular.  We had a Farm to Table event last night.  It features locally grown, organic produce made into delectable dishes by Andrew.

We are also having success with our Four Wines, Four Courses events.  Satchel’s has always been about using our community of patrons to educated one another.  Now that we have a wine and beer license, some of our local connoisseurs are bringing in some great labels, and we’re matching dishes to go with each wine.  You can imagine that a good time is had by all at this event!

We’re also open now for Monday Night Football.  We’ve had a nice turnout, and we’re watching in hi-def on our new LCD TV.  (Don’t worry, we keep it off when it’s not football time, as we don’t want to ruin the casual atmosphere Satchel’s is known for.)

We’ll also be doing some wine tastings soon, so please keep coming back to watch for our next events.
